I work primarily in 22kt gold. I love the rich glow of yellow gold. I personally alloy the 99.95% pure gold grains into a 22kt alloy. I then roll out, or draw down the gold into wire, and sheet to form the foundations of my pieces. I may use the wire to create handwoven chains, or the gold sheet to make bezels for the beautiful gemstones.
I collect large variety of materials to work into my one-of-a-kind pieces.
Here is a small sample of those materials:
Grey Keishi beads
Natural Burmese Jadeite in Imperial green
Gray Jadeite
Hand-carved Chrysoprase
Carved Rock Crystal beads
Rhodolite Garnet beads
Rainbow Moonstone cabochons
Pink Tourmaline
Rose-cut stones and Natural rose cut Diamonds
I also use many found Objects such as antique buttons, or carved Mother of pearl gaming pieces.
